Hybrid Filter for High Slew Rate Output Current Application

Description:
To meet the stringent specifications of the voltage regulator (VR), hybrid filter concept is proposed. Based on this method, the output capacitance can be dramatically reduced.  Meanwhile, the power loss in the linear regulator is not severe any more because it only takes care of high frequency energy.  This new filter structure is more cost-effective than conventional solutions.  The design procedure and analysis are provided in this invention disclosure.  Simulation is used to verify the analysis.
