Novel Interleaving Strategy for Multi-Channel PFC
Interleaving multi-phase PFC to reduce the input ripple current is a very popular technology for the AC-DC switching mode power supply. With smaller input ripple current, the EMI filter size can be reduced so that higher power density can be achieved. However, by applying this interleaving technology for today’s AC-DC power supply, the EMI filter size cannot be reduced. The proposed novel interleaving strategy for multi-phase PFC can greatly reduce the EMI filter size for today’s AC-DC power supply.
