Design Methods of Noise Separator for Good Wideband Performance
Case ID:
09-028
Web Published:
9/3/2012
This invention disclosure addresses the design of noise separator for conducted electromagnetic interference (EMI) diagnosis. Traditional EMI diagnosis is trial-and-error, wasting lots of time and money. Starting from the function design in circuits to practical design on component and layout level, this invention disclosure claims the methods developed in Center for Power Electronics Systems to achieve a high performance noise separator for conducted EMI measurement in a wideband application (10kHz-30MHz). Following the design methods, all parasitics in the noise separator can be minimized so that noise separator can accurately separate differential mode and common mode EMI noise. It greatly improves the efficiency of electronic product design.
