Cellulose Ethers for Solubility Enhancement
Case ID:
16-020
Web Published:
9/21/2015
The technology is a novel method for making functional materials from sustainable, renewable polysaccharides. It focuses on making materials that have good solubility, dispersability, or otherwise have high affinity in and for water. These materials can be designed to contain virtually any functional group, thereby permitting the designer to equip them with features like pH sensitivity, adhesion, targeting capability, or ability to crosslink. The new chemistry is high-yielding, efficient, extremely mild, and tolerant as mentioned with regard to functional group.
