Block Copolymers Based on Sustainable Polysaccharides


This new process enables synthesis of new materials that combine the properties of diverse polymers, including polymers like cellulose esters, cellulose ethers, poly(ethylene glycol)s, aliphatic polyesters, polyurethanes, and others. The bonded co-polymers provide combinations of properties that are enhanced vs. any individual polymer, and may be synergistic. That have strong promise in battery, membrane, thermoplastics, elastomers, and many other applications.
