Method of Scatter Correction in Multi-source Computed Tomography

Description:

This invention includes three x-ray scatter correction methods dedicated to the multi-source computed tomography (CT). The first one is stationary beam-stopper-arrays based method, and enables the online correction of both forward and cross scatter signals. The second one is x-ray source trigger sequence based method, and enables cross scatter correction and CT image acquisition with single CT scan. These two methods also further reduced radiation dose to a large extent. The third method is based on a deterministic physical-mathematical model of multi-source CT, which provides the virtually exact estimation of both forward and cross scatter signals.
