Plasmonic Nanoparticle Layers With Controlled Orientation

Such materials have extraordinary optical and plasmonic properties that can find broad applications in light management and light-activated sensing, mechanical, electronic application. Examples include windows for energy-efficient buildings which control light transmission, electronic devices that utilize the hot electrons generated by plasmonic nanoparticles, and energy harvesting systems that collect the excited electrons.
